Wait On The Lord, He Will Save You
Do not say, “I will recompense evil “; but wait on the Lord, and He will save you. Proverbs 20:22
This is a Bible verse I’ve kept in my heart all my life from a teenager being hurt over and over. With anger inside me. When I found this Bible verse at age 15, I knew in my heart that I could not do evil. I could not repay for any wrongdoing towards me. God has shown me grace all my life, I believe it’s because I have walked in faith, knowing that He will have the ultimate say over everything.We are not to pay evil for evil.
If evil is hate. We cannot be hateful.
If evil is unforgiving. We cannot be unforgiving.
If evil is hurtful. We cannot be hurtful.
If evil is lies. We cannot lie.
We know who we serve, who lives in us.
As hard as it is to submit to the Lord under these circumstances, we must. We must bring those feelings to the cross where ultimately, they have already been made whole in our life. It’s no longer ours to carry.
We have to let go and let God.
GOD IS LOVE.
Love…thinks no evil (1 Corinthians 13:5)
LOVE COVERS A MULTITUDE OF SINS.
Trust me, I know what it feels like to be angry and unforgiving, but we walk in faith. Trusting God that His promises over our lives is best. His sovereignty will be done rather we choose to act in love or in evil. Do we want to answer to Him one day knowing the truth of the Word and yet acting in evil? We should repent of our thoughts when we get in this fleshly thinking and ask him to give us wisdom of His WORD, to teach us how to walk in forgiveness and love even when it’s hard. To guide instruct us of how to be servant leaders, to have a servant heart for even those who have done us wrong. Some people have that spirit to “pay back” “teach a lesson ”
That’s not what God purposed us to do on earth. He created us to be bring Him glory.
The Word of God instructs us what to do in every aspect of our lives –
Jeremiah 33:3 says, Call on Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things which you do not know.
God Himself is telling us, to Call upon Him.
If he is instructing us on this simple act, that shows us, that He knew we would have situations that we as a human could not face alone. We cannot act in our own will. We DO NOT OWN OUR LIFE OR ANYTHING IN IT.
In Romans 12: 2 it says, “Do not be conformed by this world, BUT be transformed by the RENEWING OF YOUR MIND, that you may PROVE what is the GOOD and ACCEPTABLE and PERFECT WILL OF GOD.
In Job 32:8 it says,
BUT there is a spirit in man, and the breath of the Almighty gives him understanding.
Therefore, we are to call upon the Holy Spirit for guidance. We are not of this world. We are to be set apart from the world. We know the word of God.
If you have unforgiveness or anger in your heart, ask the Lord to help you let go of those feelings and thoughts, to let Him save you and set you free from bondage.
Dear Lord,
Forgive us for our unloving thoughts, thoughts that hinder our growth in You, thoughts that keep us in bondage, thoughts that bring more burden to us. Help and guide us to know who we are in Christ, who lives inside us, that we are to walk in love. We are to show love and forgiveness even when it’s hard. Give us peace in this season, give us peace to know that we walk in faith and not in evil ways. Give us peace as we be obedient to Your word. Give us peace as we pray for those who have done us or our family wrong. Give us peace as we wait on you Lord, may your will be done. We thank you for your grace and mercy over our lives. Thank you for your love towards us. Thank you for your provision over our lives. Guide us and be with us every day of our lives. We love you Abba Father. In Jesus name we pray.

…We Trust His plan for our lives
Beyond that which is seen…
…We hold on to His promises
A year ago I prayed and walked away from a job without having another job lined up. For the past decade I worked full time non-stop. I was in unfamiliar territory. It was a season of growth.
I held on to His promises over my life.
For seven months I was in unfamiliar territory, no job, no means of significant income. However I continued to stay faithful and pray for His purpose and guidance over my life during that season.
Of those seven months I was able to spend quality time with my family, my especially my mother, my nieces and nephews. Not to mention the difficulty of also living through the pandemic.
For the majority of the time I learned what it meant to be a caretaker of little ones. It was the most rewarding time of my season. To teach little children the importance of prayer. To hear them speak to the Lord through prayer.
It’s been several months since I’ve prayed with my niece and nephew during our mealtime. Last night at dinner I was able to pray with each of them and their little hearts still remembered the words to our prayer. It was a precious moment.
Another blessing from God is that I’ve been employed with a loving and caring law firm since April. It’s been a growing season, not just in my spiritual life but in my career. It’s nothing but God. I did not even apply for this position. I prayed and asked God for His will over my career that the next place of employment would be because of Him. I had to trust Him with all that I had during the season of unfamiliar territory.
He continues to lead me to unfamiliar territory in my career. Showing favor over my life in my career. Giving me the opportunity to grow and see things I’ve never seen, experience things I could only hope for in my previous positions. Giving me the ability to understand complex cases and learn in a steady pace. I know that He will see me through as He has all my life. I am grateful for my blessings. For my family work place.
It’s not about us during a difficult season, it’s to bring glory to God. It’s to be a servant. It’s to be a light in darkness for those around you.
It’s to be a testimony to others. It’s growing in faith. Trusting and believing that God will see you through another day.

~ Highways ~
Sometimes in life, like on the highway we have to pull over and just capture what’s in front of us…. We get caught up in our daily routine that we don’t turn to see the beauty around us… We get blindsided by problems, setbacks, and just life that we miss a glimpse of God’s hand…literally His masterpiece right before our eyes… We have to pull over when a glimpse of beauty, a blessing, is among us…. We have to embrace the beauty of life ahead of us…but not forgetting to take pauses….to pull over and just capture it. Even if being on the highway is scary enough….pulling over is so worth it! Live life! Speak life! Embrace it!

The Process Can Seem Fruitless…But Don’t Give Up!
Over the last several months I’ve been stuck in my writing, not looking at my manuscript, not feeling motivated to write much…but then on Monday I just opened my laptop and words came out…and I completed my Title poem for my upcoming book…it felt refreshing to read through all my poems I’ve written and put together over this past year…and while I’m in no hurry to publish my book just yet…so much has changed in my life that NOW I see why my book was delayed in being published sooner. It’s not my gifts I’m putting into the world alone, it’s the gifts of writing given to me by the Lord and with that comes patience and prayer. It’s reading and studying the word of God to write on a topic that will encourage others. It’s gaining understanding and knowledge, that in itself is a process that takes time to process and write of it.
When we put God first in our lives, in every aspect of it, from writing a book to our career He will see it through, it may seem like we get stuck in the process but our time is not God’s time and He is a God of suddenly! And can move mountains and part seas…so we cannot understand the depth of His many ways He moves and puts things together for us daily, His mercies are new every day. His mercies and plans are for our spiritual growth and when it seems like we haven’t grown just remember that the preparation and process does not always make sense to us or any easy task, it’s a daily evaluation of our life, repentance, and prayer.
I could of been impatient and forced out words just to say I completed a poem, a book within a time period, but I would have lost the words that God wanted to give to me in His timing….even if it was 9 months from the first time I talked about this poem and the Title of the book…only God!
You see how the process can seem fruitless, like we are not moving forward, but what if we are, what if God is waiting for the right time, His time to give us (fill in the blank) that He has for us, He will prepare us for the next season, and sometimes it seems like that season in preparation is the darkest season of our life, but in reality it’s the most important part of God’s hand over our lives. Do not give up.
